Today is the last chapter in our discussions on clutter. In Part I we recommended 10 areas to tackle. In Part II we talked about clearing away the mental clutter, along with our piles of “stuff”. Today, we will discuss finding balance with clutter management.
Albert Einstein said “Out of clutter find simplicity”. Clutter is the opposite of simplicity. Simplicity is the opposite of clutter.
Most of us may not be striving for a minimalist lifestyle; however, minimizing our piles of belongings is freeing. It lifts the weight and heaviness clutter brings. When my house is organized my life feels organized and calm (simplicity). When my home is in disorder my life feels chaotic and in disarray (cluttered).
I have found the key to clutter is managing it before it becomes complicated, distracting and complex. If we don’t, it will manage you, the polar opposite of simplicity.
The complexity of clutter is what keeps us unfocused, stuck and distracted from achieving the peace we seek. Clearing the outer clutter clears the inner clutter and allows us to focus on what is truly meaningful in our lives. The beauty is in simplicity.
Free yourself from the things you no longer need and don’t want. Unselfishly release your excesses and allow your belongings to bless others.

- Set your intention. Start. Clean. Toss. Give away. Sell. Share.
- Transform your life. Reconsider. Reevaluate. Rethink. Reclaim. Rebuild/renew.
- Pursue simplicity. Restore your joy and peace.
