Reflections in the Word

These are a few of my favorite scriptures.  I hope they offer you joy, comfort and peace.

Faithfulness

Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.  The Lord is my portion, says my soul, therefore I hope in Him! – Lamentations 3:22-24 (NKJV)

Fulfillment

The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your love, O Lord, endures forever— do not abandon the works of your hands.  – Psalm 138:8

Healing

Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.  – Jeremiah 33:5-7

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.  – Romans 15:13

Leader

I am the Lord your God, who teaches you to profit, who leads you in the way you should go.   – Isaiah 48:17 (NKJV)

My Future

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.  – Jeremiah 29:11-13

My Rock

Truly my soul silently waits for God; from Him comes my salvation.  He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.  My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him.  He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved.  In God is my salvation and my glory; the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.  Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.  Selah   – Psalm 62:1-2, 5-8 (NKJV)

Patience

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.  – Romans 8:28

Peace

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.  – Isaiah 26:2-4 (KJV)

Rebuilt

Again I will build you and you will be rebuilt.  – Jeremiah 31:4 (NSB)

Restoration

To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”  – Isaiah 61:2-3 (NKJV)

Strength

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.  – Philippians 4:13
